1. What is MoovieShoovie ?
MoovieShoovie is an online theater hall and community dedicated to quality Indian cinema. You can review, rent and watch movies online. You can interact with like-minded people who enjoy good cinema. And through our Amazon partnership, you can buy books , DVDs and other cinema- related items.
For one, we are entirely legal. Most other content sites are not.Because our content is direct from the rights-owners, it's high-quality . Our films stream in high-definition, not scratchy screen prints .
Second, we only focus on what we consider quality cinema, and we only work with Indian cinema in all languages. We are quite discriminating on the quality aspect, while being much more flexible on other issues, such as the bigness of the banner or the wattage of the stars. You might find vintage films, alternative films, serials and regional films you won't find anywhere else.
Third, we offer instant gratification. No downloads are required, no waiting periods. A film on MoovieShoovie is something you can enjoy instantly. And, very much like watching it on a DVD, you can pause, forward and rewind.
You can watch a full-length, high quality movie online on MoovieShoovie by using the "Buy Ticket" button. This will give you the right to watch the movie online for three weeks ( 21 days) . You will be directed to Paypal, where you can make your payment safely and securely. You will then be returned to the site. The film will appear in your “My Account” section. You can then watch it until it expires, which is 21 days from the date of purchase. We will send you an email to confirm your purchase and also before your film expires. ( if this is not happening, please send a mail to info@moovieshoovie.com)
You can also access the film anytime from your "My Account" link, which appears when you log in.
If you don't have a PayPal account, there will be an option to create an account with PayPal during the payment process. We use PayPal so that we ( and you) know your payment information is in good hands . We don't save your PayPal information on our servers.
4. What are the requirements to watch a movie on MoovieShoovie ?
You need a broadband connection that's at least 1 Mbps. And you need to be located in a place where you have a right to watch the movie, which currently happens to be outside India ( simply because that's the way the rights are obtained). That's pretty much it.
5. Can I download the movie ?
Not at the moment. However, we do recognize that people would like to own movies and we do plan to cross-sell DVDs in the medium term. Meanwhile, may we suggest the MoovieShoovie store ?
6. What do you mean by "gifting" a movie ?
Gifting movies is a way to tell someone you're thinking of them in a simple, yet memorable way. You can gift a movie to a friend to watch for three weeks using the same purchase process. Click on the "gift now" link, enter your message to your friend and then go through the PayPal process. On successful payment, an email is sent to your friend with the details of your gift. They then just have to register on the site to watch the movie, which will be available to them for 21 days from the date they register.
7. Why can I not view all the movies in my country ?
That is more an artifact of the way rights are licensed than anything else. And in general overseas rights are bundled whereas domestic rights are fragmented. With time, we hope to acquire domestic rights ( especially if there is demand), but for now we don't have the bandwidth (figuratively speaking) to cater to that market.

1. Who is the audience for MoovieShoovie? How will it work ?
Our audience is a worldwide audience. Your films will be shown online ( no downloads will be allowed) for a fee. The user will watch the film streaming on their laptops/computers. In later stages, we are working towards streaming video on devices such as phones, set-top boxes and other appliances.
2. I am really worried about piracy. What are you doing to protect my content?

3. Some channels are willing to pay me up-front. Will I get an up-front payment from MoovieShoovie?
No. Instead, you will earn revenues ongoingly from your asset as users pay for and view your films/serials. As opposed to other media, where you earn a lump sum on the sale of the rights, when you work with us, you earn “rent” on your asset every year. 4. What kinds of movies are good for MoovieShoovie?
Quality films or serials are a good fit for MoovieShoovie. It does not matter whether they are well known or not, starring established actors or new ones, made by experienced directors or talented novices, released years ago or recently, as long as they appeal to a relatively sophisticated and educated audience.
