Heylo.. Aife aife … kaife ho gaya… Long awaited ..rib tickling, on the edge and keeps you going kind of a movie …. Is finally out .. and is “Fhowing” in our nearest theatres. Yet another one after “Love Aaj Kal” musical presentation – Kaminey, totally takes over .. not only as the movie - movie of the DARKS.. but as Shaheed Kapoor, Vishal Bhardawaj, Music, the story line, the plot and the life put into bringing this all up. By now we are all known to what the movie is all about, the story line – about Fhaheed playing double role of 2 brothers.. and how & why they hate each other. The best part about the movie which to me kept me going was truly and absolutely Shaheed Kapoor…Shaheed’s make over, be it from his kind of role, to his attitude, to his physique, to his voice, to his dialogues and to his expressions. It simply belongs to him and he has done it absolutely astoundingly. The movie required certain kind of attitude, and certain kind of expressions – that of a suppressed and angry man, who is struggling with him self to earn and ride to success path with as many shortcuts (phortcuts) as possible. Be it of the Shaheed who stammers – his anger and expressions as a confused lover and trapped under circumstances is played really well. In fact at times, its very cute. And ofcourse – Charlie – the so called wicked one of the two brothers, is superb. Be it the little dance sequence with his Guitar, to his starting dialogues (when he talks about the photcuts) to his dialogue delivery all through the movie, the end sequence and fight with the cops.. and finally when he says his last few verses with Sophia (Phophia he he he!!!) Another good part about the movie is the music – Yes you got me right!!! Dhan tennannn!! Sung by Sukhwinder and Vishal Dadlani is the highlight. In fact this is the only song which is displayed completely in the movie, else the rest of the songs are only four liners, or background and one wouldn’t almost realize, that “Oh, it was a song”.. until you hear it in the audio album. But ironically, though the movie doesn’t show case complete songs – the movie is high on music..and has some amazing numbers. Ofcourse topping the chart is Dhan Tenan (Sukhwinder, Vishal), Raat Ke Dhai baje ( Sunidhi, Kunal Ganjawala, Suresh Wadekar) and Fatak (Sukhwinder) But apart from these there are two more amazing songs which stands out ..the title track “Kaminey” which is an absolute slow number but it just picks its pace as it moves ahead and grows on to you.. and ofcourse, last but not the least.. “Pehli baar Mohobbat” by Mohit Chauhan.. which is yet another outstanding and commendable song. Not forgetting the other actors in the movie.. who are absolutely wonderful… Together, Kaminey – is a must watch…. We have a new star in making – Fhaaheeed Kappor ( This year into the award nominations for sure)… and the music is roaring (Yet another potential nomination and a win)… Lov N Luck..
