Angoor is based on Shakespeare's play ,Comedy of Errors. Raj Tilak and his wife are on a trip with their twin sons, both named Ashok. They also adopt another pair of identical twins and call them Bahadur. An unfortunate incident divides the family and leaves each parent with one of each pair of twins. The movie progresses a few more years and as adults, fate brings the two Ashoks and the two Bahadurs to the same city and a hilarious comedy of errors unfolds.
Take one portion of Shakespeare, two large portions of Sanjeev Kumar and two small portions of Deven Varma. Mix well and you have one of India's finest comedy films. Although this was earlier attempted by chef Bimal Roy with portions of Kishore Kumar and Asit Sen, it was upto the master chef Gulzar to dish out this unforgettable classic.
Spiced with RD's music and brilliant performances by Moushimi Chatterjee, Deepti Naval and the outrageously hilarious team at the jeweler's, Angoor is a must watch - especially if you're having a dull day or stressed out week.
